Joanna Skye began her career with a bang, receiving 2 Emmy nominations for On-Air Talent/Host for “Lost Legends of the West” in 2004.  A feat made even more impressive considering it marked her television debut and first professional audition.  Clad in a tattered baseball cap, she captured the producers’ attention through a homemade video that allowed her natural on-screen presence to shine.  As a host she’s traveled the breadth of the nation from Alaska and Arizona to Wyoming and Montana, interviewing curators and historians in search of elusive hidden treasures.
Skye’s talents also extend behind the camera with the completion of her first producing/directing venture, Welcome Back Riders, a feature length documentary for Swashbuckler Studios with “Lost Legends” producing partner, Nathan Cutietta.  The film is the first to chart the collective history of amusement parks, introducing audiences to the charismatic creators of some of America’s most treasured parks.

In the summer of 2005, Skye unleashed her hosting talents once more for the pilot, “Living Green.”  Shot in the beautiful Napa Valley, it examines the use of alternative technologies and sustainable living.   Skye soon wowed again when she was double cast in a supporting roles in the upcoming comedies Confessions of the Soup Nazi and Go-Go Boy.

Joanna also serves as President of the Penn State Manchester AIG Board and is a Board member of the Penn State Film and Video Guild.  With a list of accomplishments that continues to grow, Skye’s already created a promising future both behind and in front of the camera.  A Philly girl at heart, Skye grew-up just outside of Philadelphia and graduated with distinction from Pennsylvania State University with a degree in Communications, and also studied film/television overseas at the University of Manchester in England.  She currently resides in Los Angeles, CA.
